Richard Thomas Williams of Jonesburg passed away on February 26, 2026 at the age of 89 at his home.
Richard was born January 27, 1937 in St. Louis, MO to Edgar P. and Mary E. Williams nee Henderson.
Richard grew up in St. Louis, MO and graduated from Berkley High School in 1955. Richard married the love of his life on October 4, 1956 in Berkley, MO and to this union they were blessed with four children, Karen, Kathy, Richard, and Kristine.
Richard worked as an export manager buying airplane parts. Richard had a strong work ethic (working 3 jobs at one time) which he passed on to his children and grandchildren and was a family man, his family always came first in his life no matter what was going on. In his spare time Rich enjoyed bowling, golfing, working on cars, stamp collector. Rich loved spending time with his family at the lake house at Table Rock, he was an avid fisherman whether it was fly fishing or out at Bennett Springs trout fishing, he would have a fishing pole in hand; he loved being outdoors. He and his son loved playing horseshoes and won many tournaments together, they made a great team.
Rich loved gardening every summer, you could always count on him having a overabundance of tomatoes which he delightfully shared with family and friends. Rich never met a stranger, he loved spending time with people talking and getting to know them.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years Nancy of the home; children, Karen (Richard) Carter of St. Louis, MO, Kathy Hudson of St. Charles, MO; son, Richard Williams of Jonesburg, MO; two sisters, Mary Ditch of Augusta, MO, Nancy Hassler; sister in law, Rosemary Williams of Blackjack, MO; 6 grandchildren Melissa (Chris Cardillo) Williams, Emily (Tyler) Aynes, Richard A Williams, Kyle White, Dylan (Eryn) McGough, Andrew White; 13 great-grandchildren; He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kristine McGough, brother, Charles Williams, 2 brother in laws, Gene Ditch, and David Hassler.
Rich will be deeply missed by his family and friends and they will see him again one day in heaven with that fishing pole in hand.
