We announce the passing of Norris Jon Alexander, a devoted father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world peacefully on February 24, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on January 20, 1944, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Jon was the son of Mary and Lloyd Alexander. His life was a testament to generosity, faith, and dedication, leaving a legacy of kindness and integrity.
Jon’s early years were filled with the culture and traditions of New Orleans. In 1965, he married the love of his life, Lee Ann Fradella, with whom he shared a journey of love and companionship until her passing. Together, they raised two daughters, Jennifer Bialas and Suzanne Kobitz, who, with their husbands Michael and George, continued the legacy of love that Jon and Lee Ann instilled in them.
Jon was a man of deep faith and generosity. He found joy in volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul at St. Patrick Church, where he dedicated his time to helping those in need. His faith was a guiding light in his life, inspiring those around him with his unwavering belief in the goodness of Christ.
Jon was also a man of varied interests. He had a talent for woodworking, creating pieces that captured his true gift of craftsmanship. His friendly competitive spirit shone through in his love for card games and Mahjong, where laughter and camaraderie were always present. He was an avid supporter of the New Orleans Saints and the St. Louis Cardinals.
His grandchildren, Finnian, Aiden, William, Harrison, and Caroline, were the light of his life. He was a devoted grandfather and his legacy lives on through them.
Jon is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lee Ann Fradella, his sister Marietta Mehrtens, and his brother Lloyd Alexander. He leaves behind his loving daughters and their families, who will continue to honor his memory by living with the same kindness that he embodied.
