Joseph Lauterwasser

Joseph Lauterwasser of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 71. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Lauterwasser (née: Pidcock) of Wentzville, MO; two daughters, Vanessa (Christopher) Lauterwasser-Doten of Wentzville, MO, Joelynn Lauterwasser of Saint Louis, MO; three brothers, Robert (Joan) Lauterwasser of Maryland Heights, MO, Gerry (Renee) Lauterwasser of Florissant, MO, and, Mike (Mary) Lauterwasser of Florissant, MO; two sisters, Joanne Gainer of Maryland Heights, MO, and Theresa (Ron) Kappauff of O' Fallon, MO; two grandchildren, Taya and Brody; He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lauterwasser, mother, Marie Lauterwasser (née: O' Toole), step-mother, Rose Marie Lauterwasser (née: Belli), brother, Bill Lauterwasser, and sister, Mary Reddy.  

Joseph was united in marriage to Barbara, and they celebrated 50 wonderful years together, and from this union they were blessed with two daughters, Vanessa and Joelynn. Joseph was a member of St. Gianna Catholic Church in Wentzville. 

He found great peace and happiness in the outdoors. Joseph loved watching the birds gather at his feeders, tending to his flower garden, observing the deer and fox that wandered through the woods, and fishing. Joseph was also an avid sports fan who loved watching the St. Louis Blues and the St. Louis Cardinals. 

Above all, Joseph loved his family and spending time with them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
