Obituary
Phyllis Ann Stanton, 77 years of age, of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri, passed away on November 23rd, 2019. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on November, 30th at Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville, Missouri with a service to follow at 12:00 pm at the same location. Burial ceremony for immediate family only will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Monday, December 2nd. Phyllis was born in Sayer, Pennsylvania on August 31st, 1942. She graduated from Weedsport High School in Weedsport, New York and continued on to receive an Associate Degree from Alfred State College in Alfred, New York. Phyllis worked as an Administrative Assistant and Customer Service Representative for a number of companies, finally retiring in 2004 from Verizon. She enjoyed reading, traveling, camping, fishing, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. She particularly enjoyed spending time at the family cabin at Kentucky Lake. She was also actively involved in the Three Rivers Chapter of the Good Sam Club. Phyllis was married to James William Stanton on June 15th, 1963; they were married 56 years. Phyllis is survived by her husband; brother, Sandford (Sally) Morse; three children, Pamela (Jerry) DeGrendele, Patricia (Jacques) Klos, and Jeffrey (Christin) Stanton; six grandchildren, Kristen (Jacob) Moore, Nicole DeGrendele, Darby Klos, Robert Klos, Jacob Stanton, and Jordan Stanton; great-granddaughter, Addison Moore. Phyllis will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Phyllis is preceded in death by her father, Sandford Morse, mother, Eleanor Ash, and her brother Richard.
