Obituary
Doris Ellis passed away on November 4, 2019 at the age of 93. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph T. Ellis. She is survived by her two sons, Joseph (Georgia) Ellis of Wentzville, MO and Don (Carolyn) Ellis of New York City, NY; daughter, Jeanne (Gary) Brickson of Dardenne Prairie, MO; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; She is preceded in death by her husband, Jospeh T. Ellis; her parents, James A. and Anna Burton (Quinn); brothers, Forrest Burton, Harold Burton, and Robert Burton; sister, Irene Stock. Doris was a member of Ferguson Baptist Church and later First Baptist Church of Lake Saint Louis. She worked for nearly 40 years for J. C. Penney and was very active in J.C. Pals after her retirement. She was a pianist and played at a dance studio when she was young. She also was an avid traveler and reader. She greatly enjoyed her years at Twin Oaks at Heritage Pointe where staff and residents became family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
