Herman Wortmann passed away on November 1, 2019 at the age of 89. He was the beloved husband of Edna Wortmann nee Ohmes of Josephville, Missouri; He is survived by his three sons, Steve (Rita) Wortmann of Flint Hill, MO, Kenny (Cindy) Wortmann of Josephville, MO, Tommy Wortmann of Winfield, MO; two daughters, Linda Tijerina of O'Fallon, MO, Debbie (Kevin) Sullivan of Eolia, MO; nine granddaughters, Katy Wortmann, Ashley (Brandon) Hackmann, Allyson (Dylan) Colbert, Leslie (Albert) Garcia, Abigail (Riley) Crider, Vivian Wortmann, Tracy (Scott) Langston, Alicia (Tim) Hooton, Nikki (Noel) Stapleton; thirteen grandsons, Kevin (Rachel) Wortmann, Kyle (Kara) Wortmann, Michael Wortmann, Aaron Wortmann, Shawn (Dora) Hayden, Manuel (Cristal) Tijerina, Matthew (Brandi) Tijerina, Luke Wortmann, Trent Wortmann, Zane Wortmann, Caden Wortmann, Chris (Sandra) Brune, Jeff (Shelly) Sullivan; Great-Grandchildren-Henry and Mitchell Johnston, Eleanor, Josephine, Rebecca Wortmann, Ashley (Brandon) Cerda, Simon and Steven Wortmann, Brody and Blake Hackmann, Crystal, Katy and Shawn Thomas Hayden, Christian (Cassi) Tijerina, Destiny, Tristan and Eli Tijerina, Mya and Matthew Tijerina, Emily, Olivia and Madelyn Brune, Sarah and Grace Hudson, Emma and Reilly Langston, Cooper and Carley Hooton, Rachel, Anna and Natalie Sullivan, Dylan, Keane and Noelle Stapleton, 2 great-great-grandsons; Israel and Hudson; three sisters, Alice Roettger of Flint Hill, MO, Arlene Rothermich of Josephville, MO, Bernadette Rush of Josephville, MO; two brothers, Melvin Wortmann of St. Paul, MO, Denny Wortmann of Hawk Point, MO; He is preceded in death by his mother, Rose Wortmann nee Dickherber, father, Simon Wortmann, step-mother, Helen Wortmann nee Pieper, sister, Jane Boschert, brother, Bobby Wortmann, brother, Ferd Wortmann. Herman was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Josephville. Herman served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he was a farmer all his life and an excellent woodworker and taxidermist. Herman could fix anything but most of all he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
