Melvin M. Meyer passed away October 8, 2019 at his home in Wentzville, MO. Born in Onida, South Dakota to Henry and Mary Martha (Schmitgen) Meyer on February 7, 1931. He was 88 years old.
Melvin was married to Ann Twiehaus on December 22, 1957. Melvin and Ann spent over 61 years together. Melvin was in the U. S. Marine Corps in the 1950ís during the Korean War. He worked in a goldmine in Lead, South Dakota and later worked for Stromberg Carlson out of Rochester, NY. Mel became a private contractor installing dial telephone equipment until he retired in 1990. He liked to garden, fish, and spend time with his family and friends.
He is survived by wife, Ann Meyer; daughters, Brenda Sue (Alan) Hoeft, Linda Lou (Jim) Nadler; grandchildren, Lacy Hoeft, Hugo Nadler, Melvin Nadler; great-grandson, Christopher Ebert; many nieces and nephews. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters, four brothers, an infant daughter, grandson, Jeremy Ebert.
