John Paul Adams passed away on August 17, 2019 at the age of 72. He was the beloved husband of Linda Adams of Foristell, Missouri; He is survived by his daughter, Sherri Lyn (Fiance' Brian Stevenson) Marshall of Gladstone, IL; son, Roger Louis Bedwell; four sisters, Doris Fassero, Mary Everett, Frieda (Lloyd) Irvin, Patty (Robert) Zumwalt; two grandsons, Justin Allen Dickey of Indianapolis, IN, Joshua Taylor Dickey of St. Peters, MO; five granddaughters, Kelsi Amanda Bedwell of O'Fallon, MO, Briana Nicole Bedwell of Phoenix, AZ, Miranda Taylor (Duncan Gibbs) Bedwell of Goshen, KY, Haley Marie Bedwell of Wentzville, MO, Alyssa Grace Bedwell of Wentzville, MO; He is preceded in death by his father, Andrew Fred Adams, mother, Sophie Katherine Adams (Orblish), brothers, Donald Adams and Melvin Adams, sister, Nancy Nimmons (Adams). John was a faithful Christian man having accepted Christ and been baptized as a youth in Litchfield, IL. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake St. Louis, Lake St. Louis, Missouri where he attended with his wife Linda. John loved his family deeply. In earlier years he spent summer weekends with his grandchildren when possible at the Lake of Egypt in southern Illinois taking them fishing and boating. He kept pace with current political issues being an avid watcher of Fox News. He was proud of his country and was a staunch Republican and a strong supporter of President Trump. He was proud to have served his country as a Marine in the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of VFW Post #3912 in Litchfield, Illinois. John served as a volunteer for his church at the Mary Martha Thrift Shop in Wentzville, Missouri, giving hours of his time to further advance his mission of providing to the less fortunate. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
