Obituary
Gerald "Jerry" Van Esler passed away on August 6, 2019 at the age of 77. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn "Carol" Van Esler (Howard) of Wentzville, Missouri; He is survived by his five children, Patty (David) Benedict (Van Esler), David Van Esler, John Galloway (Candis), Jamie Brokaw, Dennis Galloway; four sisters, Debbie (Mike) Schaller; Evelyn Saranita, Ginger (Pat) Narens, Linda Tivitt; brother, John (Barb) Van Esler; brother-in-law, Rich Bierbaum, thirteen grandchildren, Kevin (Courtney) Benedict, Steven Benedict, Tristan Brokaw, Kindra Brokaw, Cody Davis, Zachary Davis, Sara Van Esler, Nicholas Van Esler, Josh Van Esler, Amara Galloway, Jack Galloway, William Galloway, Lucas Galloway; three great-grandchildren, Asher Barnes, Adelaide Van Esler, Aubrey Van Esler; He is preceded in death by his father, John William Van Esler, mother, Darlene M. Poole (Nichols), sister, Betty Bierbaum, brother-in-law, Richie Tivitt. Jerry was a member of UAW 2250 for 40 years. He was a avid bowler and had fun spending time at Frontier Bowl in O'Fallon, Missouri. He enjoyed going camping, traveling, and researching WWII and Civil War history. Jerry loved his dogs, especially Toby. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
