Obituary
Art Van Leer passed away on February 22, 2018 at the age of 92. He was the beloved husband of Frances Van Leer nee Castor of Wentzville, Missouri; He is survived by his three sons, Jerry (Christina) Van Leer of St. Charles, MO, Greg (Debbie) Van Leer of Wright City, MO, Steve (Lorna) Van Leer of Trenton, TX; two step-daughters, Diana (Rick) Forrest of Lacey, WA, Sandy (Mike) Mayernik of Springfield, MO; step-daughter in law, Jeannie Hada of Woodson Terrace, MO; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur M Van Leer , Jr., his mother, Rose Van Leer nee Tihen; his first wife, Hazel Van Leer, step-son, Larry Hada, daughter, Lisa Van Leer, brother, Raymond Van Leer, sister, Ruth Long.. Art served in the US Army from 1943-1945. He worked for Wagner Electric, Van Leer's lawn service, Van Leer cleaning service and Watlow electric. Art was a wonderful husband, and a dedicated father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
