Obituary
Oscar Eugene Gaddy of High Hill, MO formerly of Dixon, MO. Born June 9, 1941 in St. Louis County to Harry E. Gaddy and Josephine Marie Gaddy nee Ray. Departed this life January 24, 2018 in Wellsville, MO surronded by family. Oscar reached the age of 76 years, 7 months and 15 days. Oscar was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Gaddy, September 3, 2011, step-son, Robert Shephard. Oscar is survived by his son, Billy Gaddy of Perryville, Mo, daughter, LaDonna Petty of Bixby, MO, daughter, Betty & Everett Davis of Bellflower, MO, son, David Hicks of St. Louis, MO and loving grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those left to mourn Oscar are sister, Dorothy Myers of St. Louis, MO, brothers, James D. and Kathy Gaddy of Wright City, MO, Robert E. Gaddy of St. Louis, MO. Oscar served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War from 1960-1964. Worked as a laborer for Local 42 from 1964-1998 and retired, then served as caretaker at Labor Training Center in High Hill from 1999-2017. Oscar will be dearly missed and all who knew and loved him.
