Obituary
Mary Jane (McDermott) O'Connor, 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 17, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital, Chesterfield, Missouri. Born in Hartford, Connecticut on September 18, 1942, Mary was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Virginia Buckley McDermott. She attended Windsor, Connecticut public schools and graduated from Windsor High School in 1960. After her marriage to Owen O'Connor in 1964, they lived in New London, Connecticut, moving then with her family to La Palma, California prior to relocating to Lake St. Louis, Missouri in 1982. She leaves her devoted husband of 53 years Owen F. O'Connor, a son, James O'Connor and his wife Kimberly of Wentzville, and two daughters, Lauri O'Connor of Wentzville and Kelly O'Connor of Kirkwood. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Jordan O'Connor, Kelsey O'Connor, Janea Franks, Connor Eldridge and Cameron Hart. Mary enjoyed crafts, playing cards and visiting with friends, she most enjoyed family gatherings and time with her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brothers John, Edward, Jr. and Francis McDermott and her sisters Donna Arcari, Virginia Cleaver and Nancy Netcoh. She leaves her twin brother James McDermott of East Berlin, Connecticut, sister-in-law Betty McDermott and brother-in-law Thomas Arcari, both of Windsor, and brother-in-law Robert Netcoh of Toney, Alabama, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial celebration of life service will be held on Saturday October 21, 2017 from 2:00pm-7:00pm at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, MO 63385.
