Carl J. Grabert passed away on September 15, 2017 at the age of 84. He was the beloved husband of Marcia Grabert nee Smith of Edwardsville, Illinois for 64 years. He is survived by his three daughters, Karen (Clifford) Byrd of Washington, MO, Joyce (Phil) Jueckstock of Edwardsville, IL, Carol (Ryan) McFeaters of Oxford, CT; two grandsons, Neal, Timothy; three granddaughters, Rachael, Samantha, Erin; He is preceded in death by his father, Neal J. Grabert, mother, Mildred M. Grabert. Carl Retired from McDonnell Douglas (MDAC) after 36 devoted years. He was a member of the gun club at McDonnell Douglas and the A.M.A (Academy of Model Aviation). Carl enjoyed all types of hunting (deer, antelope, wild boar, pheasant, squirrel and rabbit). He also enjoyed fishing, woodworking, skeet and pistol shooting; he built his own black powder rifle and shot deer with it. His hobbies also included model trains and building radio control planes; he was active in Geneology, traveling all the way to Germany to trace his family history. Carl was a very artistic and creative person that will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
