Steven Douglas Hood passed away on July 26, 2017 at the age of 62. He is survived by his two daughters, Delaney (Ezra) Schneider of Warrenton, MO, Tegin Hood of Warrenton, MO; 2 step-daughters Jennifer (Justin) Rebura of Wentzville, MO, Allison (Mark) Nothstine of Warrenton, MO; step-son, David (Shirley) Nothstine of Hawk Point, MO; brother, Tim (Denise) Hood of O'Fallon, MO; two sisters, Patty (Dan) Boxdorfer of Lake St. Louis, MO, Cindy (Michael) Smith of Bridgeton, MO; close companion, Teresa Penrose of Warrenton, MO; 12 Grandchildren, ; He is preceded in death by his wife, Diann Hood and his parents Richard Hood and Dorothy Hood nee Hickam. Steve built windsor chairs in the style of the 1600's. He loved playing the mandolin especially with "3 Point Hitch" "Altered Fate" and "Garage Grass" bands in the Warrenton and Truesdale area. He always told his family "find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life." Steve was active in colonial times history reenactments. He used many colonial tools to demonstrate windsor chair building. Steve enjoyed spending time with his family and friends he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
