Obituary
Marian (Mame) Corinne (nee McCracken) Klausmeier was born in Warrenton, MO on May 26,1921, and passed away on June 2, 2017 at the age of 96 in St. Louis, MO. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Karl F. Klausmeier, and by her parents, William A. McCracken and Corinne Musick McCracken; her sister Betty (Joseph) McCracken Costrino, brother William (Valeria) C. McCracken, and many other relatives and friends. Marian is survived by her daughter, Karla (Peter) Shelton and two grandchildren, Kelly and Ryan Shelton, all of St. Louis. She was also a dear Aunt, Great Aunt, Great-Great Aunt, Sister in law, cousin, friend and neighbor to many. She will be dearly missed by all. Marian graduated from Warrenton High School in 1939 and from Sanford Brown Business College in St.Louis in 1941. She began her career at Royal Typewriter and later worked for 27 years as an Office Manager for her brother in law's (Dr. Joseph A Costrino) medical practice. Marian was united in marriage to Karl F. Klausmeier, of Jonesburg, MO on November 24, 1945 and they were blessed with over 71 years of marriage, (Karl just passed away on May 4, 2017). She and her husband enjoyed many years of music and dancing and were followers of some music bands, especially the "Silver Wings Band" and "Dealers Choice". She was a member of University United Methodist Church, University Thimble Club and Gateway Music Association. Marian was also a member of the Warrenton American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 122 for 74 years, and a life member of the Warren County Historical Society.
