Keith Russell Kile passed away on April 19, 2017 at the age of 80. Keith was born on July 10, 1936 in Campbell Nebraska to Max and Olive Kile.
After high school Keith attended the University of Nebraska for 2 years then enlisted in the US Navy and served 4 years active service and 2 years in the reserves. Keith and Marie (nee Gustafson) were married in Goodwater, Saskatchewan, Canada on April 7, 1960. Keith had a 30+ year career working for IBM as a computer programmer and program manager. During this time the family lived in 9 cities across the country from Massachusetts to California and 2 places in Great Britain. After retiring from the corporate life, Keith and Marie moved to LaFollette, TN, where they dedicated the next 20 years to charity work supporting Habitat for Humanity, United Methodist Ministries and other organizations.
Keith and Marie enjoyed traveling across the globe on their own and with friends. Their travels took them to all 50 United States, all 7 continents and all but 1 Canadian province.
Keith loved spending time with his family and friends, traveling, building homes for Habitat and ramps for a LaFollette United Methodist Church Mission Project, watching Cardinals baseball, and spending time with the love of his life, Marie.
Keith is survived by his beloved wife Marie, son Robert (Jennifer) Kile, grandsons Andrew Kile (Julia) and Timothy Kile, daughters Vicki Kile and Andrea (Charles) Stump, brother Norman (Brenda) Kile, sister Wanda Kumke and brother in-law Don Hall as well as numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by parents Max and Olive Kile, grandparents William and Eunice Kile, grandparents Sylvester and Nellie Soucie, sister Maxine Hall, brother-in-law Ray Kumke and nephew Ray Hall.
