Obituary
Elizabeth Mae Heistand passed away on April 2, 2017 at the age of 93. She was the beloved wife of the late John Heistand.; She is survived by her son, John David (Leota) Heistand of Cahokia, IL; son-in-law, Paul Edson; brother-in-law, Fred Heistand of Anaheim, CA; sister-in-law, Dorothy Margaret Forscher; three grandsons, Derrick Edson, Ian Heistand, Kyle Heistand; granddaughter, Kelly Edson; friends, Dan and Linda Jordan of Wright City, MO; She is preceded in death by her father, Cecil Otis Shannon, mother, Emma Leta Shannon, husband, John Heistand, daughter, Omah Leta Edson, brother, Eddie Shannon, brother, Raymond Shannon, sister, June Allen, brother-in-law, Warren Heistand, brother-in-law, Monroe Heistand. Elizabeth married John Heistand on March 8, 1940. John and Elizabeth owned and operated the HCR Ranch in Wright City, MO. Elizabeth and her husband John developed a cattle measuring device and their device became patented. Elizabeth also worked for Western Realty in Foristell, MO as a realtor. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
