Jerry E. Aholt passed away on February 1, 2017 at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband of Jane Aholt nee Schneider of Augusta, Missouri. He is survived by his eight children, Steven (Lori) Aholt of Augusta, MO, Timothy (Natalie) Aholt of Augusta, MO, Thomas (Angela) Aholt of Augusta, MO, Barbara (Mark) Halmich of Washington, MO, Donna (Larry Schmitt) Aholt of Washington, MO, Michael (Anne) Leesmann of Littleton, NC, Robert (Joan) Leesmann of Washington, MO and Daniel (Tracy) Battle of Troy, MO; daughter-in-law, Carla Ballmann of Washington, MO; three brothers, Robert (Audrey) Aholt of Augusta, MO, Anthony (Carol) Aholt of Marthasville, MO and Wilbert (Kathy) Aholt of Augusta, MO; three sisters, Betty (Jim) Peters of Washington, MO, Anna (Ken) Schultz of Washington, MO and Marcella (Leon) Noelker of Washington, MO; sister-in-law, Janet Leavitt of Augusta, MO; 21 grandchildren, one predeceased and 23 great-grandchildren, two predeceased. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Lidwina Aholt nee Struckhoff, former spouse, Patricia M. Aholt nee Gerner, daughter, Linda Kay (Paul) Ballmann, brother, John Aholt, two sisters, Ethel Jasper and Laverne Rettke. Jerry was a member of Immaculate Conception in Augusta, American Legion Post 262 in Augusta and VFW Post 2661 in Washington. He served in the Army and was the owner of Jerry's Excavating Company. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
