Obituary
Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church. Aloysius "Al" Leo Bamert passed away on January 9, 2017, at the age of 87. He is the beloved husband of Jean Bamert nee Dowl of Marthasville, Missouri. He is survived by his daughter, Julie (John) O'Donnell; granddaughter, Angelina O'Donnell; sister, Frances Kellems; brothers, Jerry, Charles, Arthur, John and Thomas Bamert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Bamert, Sr., and Antoinette Bamert nee Gehringer; brother, Richard Bamert, sister, Theresa Morr, brother, Cyril Bamert, brother, Joseph Bamert, Jr., sister, Rita Sgroi, brother, Eugene Bamert and sister, Patricia Georgen. Aloysius was united in marriage to Jean Dowl on May 19, 1956 in Ladue, Missouri. He was a long time member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in New Melle, Missouri and a fourth degree charter member of the Knights of Columbus at Immaculate Heart of Mary. Aloysius was an active member within his community of Lake Sherwood, where he was a security guard. He also built many signs for the neighborhood and enjoyed fishing. He was loved and will be dearly missed by many.
