Obituary
Elizabeth Joanne Smith passed away on October 13, 2016 at the age of 79. She was the beloved wife of Robert Smith. She is survived by her son, David R. Smith of St. Louis, MO; three daughters, Ann E. (Joseph) Schermann of Wright City, MO, Jackie J. Wren of Oklahoma City, OK and Jennifer L. (William) Young of Newalla, OK; five brothers, Mike (Nancy) Lennon of Omaha, NE, Fred (Beth) Lennon of Superior Township, MI, Tom Lennon of Alpharetta, GA, Ed (Linda) Lennon of Ocala, FL and Pat (MaryJo) Lennon of Oswego, IL; five sisters, Mary Carolyn (Ed) Fleege of St. Paul Park, MN, Margaret (Peggy) Lennon Brownlie of Westmont, IL, Kathleen Lennon of Romeoville, IL, Roseanne Lennon of Chicago, IL and Julie Andersen of Clinton, IA; grandchildren, Kara, Katie, Rebecca, Michael, Stephen, Mark, Timothy, Jesse, Grace, Abby, Michelle, Brooke and Leah; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Madison, Stella, Ben and Liam. She is preceded in death by her parents, Michael C. Lennon and Mary E. Lennon and husband, Robert C. Smith. Elizabeth “Jo” Smith. She was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Smith on October 25, 1958 in Tama, Iowa. Jo was a homemaker for most of her life. She was employed by the St. Charles City School District and worked as a substitute teacher for many years, primarily at the Willie Harris Elementary School. She enjoyed visits with her many siblings. Jo and Bob always had an open door and loved their family dearly. Jo enjoyed the beauty of this planet. She was a woman of faith and was excited at the prospect of going home to be with the Lord. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
