Obituary
Norman Joseph Edwards passed away on September 18, 2016, at the age of 84. He is the beloved husband of Virginia Campbell nee Crump of Wentzville, Missouri. He is survived by his son, Bruce K. (Jane) Edwards; two daughters, Teri G. (Richard) Stis and Elizabeth A. Matthews; brother, Jimm (Maydean) Edwards; two grandchildren, Chris J. (Erin A.) Edwards and Amy E. Dear. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma L. Sago; second wife; Ethel Patterson; brother, Charles L. Edwards; sister, Wanda Stumbo and brother-in-law, Joe Stumbo. Norman Joseph Edwards was born on August 7, 1932 in Desloge, Missouri. He attended Central Elementary School in Desloge, Missouri and graduated from High School in May 1950. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on July 6, 1950. Norman served a total of four years of which two were in the Territory of Alaska and was Honorably Discharged from the Air Force on July 5, 1954 (Rank A/1C AFC 60150). He later enlisted in the Air Force Reserve in October 1954 and was Honorably Discharged on October 1, 1957. Norman was united in marriage to Wilma Louise Sago in Desloge, Missouri on September 23, 1951. Wilma passed away in Milwaukee, Wisconsin during heart surgery on May 5, 1983. He married Ethel Patterson in St. Charles, Missouri on August 31, 1984 and after her death, he was married to Virginia Campbell in Wentzville, Missouri on December 3, 2005. Norman began his career with McDonnell Aircraft Corporation in St. Louis on August 23, 1954. He later retired from McDonnell Aircraft Corporation on August 7, 1987, 16 days short of 33 years of dedicated service. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
