Maureen Clara Prewitt nee Gentemann passed away on September 2, 2016, at the age of 63. She is the beloved wife of Wayne M. Prewitt of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri. She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey Edwin (Dawn) Prewitt and Bradley Wayne (Nealie) Prewitt; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn (Daniel) Frieswick and Carrie Maureen (Justin) Travis; three sisters, Rita (Raymond) Wilmes, Mary (Terry Starwalt) Gentemann-Zuckner and Regine (Leon) Prewitt; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Paityn Prewitt; Baylor and Carter Prewitt; Caleb, Hannah, Andrew and Sara Frieswick and Weston, Adelynn and Lincoln Travis and brother-in-law, Gene Kersting. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Viola Gentemann nee Hepperman and sister, Jeanie Kersting. Maureen Clara Prewitt, age 63 of Dardenne Prairie, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016. She was born in Troy, MO on May 15, 1953 to the late Edwin A. Gentemann and Viola C. Gentemann. She married Wayne M. Prewitt on June 3, 1972 at Immaculate Conception Church in Dardenne Prairie, MO. Maureen worked as a Special Ed Para-Professional at the Fort Zumwalt School District for 20 years. She attended Element Church for 10 years serving in the Prayer Partner Ministry. Most notably, she was known as a caring, gentle spirit that had a servant’s heart. Her mission in life was to honor God in all that she did. She loved reading and studying the Bible. She enjoyed spending time with her family at a moment’s notice. She loved spending afternoons reading and playing with the grandchildren. The visitation is from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Element Church in Wentzville, MO with burial services following at Mt. Zion Cemetery in O’Fallon, MO.
