Ronald William Coyne Sr., 68, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on March 2, 2016. A
memorial service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery is scheduled for Friday, March 11 at
Ron, born on April 1, 1947 in St. Louis, was the only child of Rolland & Dorothy Coyne. He
attended Pattonville High School in Maryland Heights, class of 1965. He earned an MBA degree
from Fontbonne College.
An entrepreneur from an early age, Ron had an eclectic range of hobbies, skills and careers.
He was an amateur chemist, horticulturist, vintner, saltwater fish trader and beekeeper.
Throughout his life, he had been a local retail business owner, a private pilot instructor, a real
estate broker and a local GM employee.
Ron grew up hunting & fishing. He enjoyed NASCAR, snow skiing, golf, movies, traveling,
but most of all, deep sea fishing. A Vietnam vet, he was a Sergeant in the Airforce working as a
loadmaster on C141Starlifters.
Ronís retirement dream of relocating to the gulf waters of Florida and living out his days on
his boat were sadly cut short. We wish you safe travels as you set sail and navigate the big blue
ocean in the sky Captain Ron.
His family members in mourning include: his partner in life Susan Coyne, daughter Christine
Coyne Reutimann, sons Robert Harton, Michael Harton, Ronnie Coyne & his wife Sarah Remick
Coyne and 7 grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the Remickís and Katrina Stevens for
their tremendous love and support during this heartbreaking loss. A remembrance celebration is
planned for Friday evening at the familyís residence.
