Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, Florence “Flossie” Loretta Marie Tochtrop nee Kersting passed away on February 7, 2016, at the age of 96. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Steve) Flynn of Littleton, Colorado; five grandchildren: Donna (Kevin) Harms of St. Peters, MO, Linda (Bob) Perry of Denver, CO, Ann (Austin) Flynn Terrell of Denver, CO, Katherine Mary Flynn of Marriottsville, MD, Stephen Francis (Amanda) Flynn of Jacksonville, FL.; five great-grandchildren: Brad, Jordan, Sarah, Sean & Daniel Harms. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank J. Tochtrop; parents Henry & Flora Adell Kersting nee Bastean; brothers: Albert & Henry Kersting: sisters: Anna Pletscher, Lucille Kersting, Frances Westhoff, & Veronica Wilmes. Flossie was a devout Catholic and her faith was very important to her. She was baptized, received her First Communion, Holy Confirmation and was married to Frank at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Josephville, where she was a life-long member. She was a devoted housewife and dedicated mother and grandmother who dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and played a large role in their lives. She was also a caring & loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews and extended family members. Flossie took pride in her cooking as well as staying active in the Ladies Sodality at church but everyone that knew her knows her passion was for designing and hand quilting hundreds of beautiful quilts, throughout her lifetime. There was no one else quite like her and she will be forever remembered.
