He is preceded in death by his father, Alphonse L. Wilmes, mother, Norma A. Wilmes nee Kleeschulte, and sister, Elizabeth Ann Foster.
Lawrence Wilmes (aka Larry or Lawrencey) was first and foremost a dedicated servant of God. He did all things whole-heartedly--his role as a father, husband and grandfather, his work as a cement mason, his service for his church and choir, his game of poker and pitch, and, infamously, caring for his lawn. He loved to watch football and golf, and was an exceptional baseball and basketball player. He'll be remembered for his kindness, gentle strength and warm, ever-present smile. He loved with all his heart and will be missed with all of ours. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
