Obituary
Harry Theodore Hart, age 89 years passed away on Tuesday, December 1st at the Jonesburg Nursing Home. Harry was born June 25, 1926 in McKittrick, MO to the late John Henry Hart and Flora Hillebrand Hart Fitzwater. He was united in marriage to Margaretta “Dolly” Frauenhoffer Hart on November 27, 1947 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Jonesburg, MO. She preceded him in death on May 23, 2014 after 66 years of marriage. He was a devoted husband father and along with Dolly, organized many church dinners at St. Patrick’s Church. Harry played Santa for many years for the children of St. Patrick’s parish. He was a lifetime member of the Jonesburg Historical Society and friend to many. Harry was a loyal member of Teamster’s Local 600 and proudly served his country in Europe during WWII. He loved to tell the story he was on a ship looking at the Rock of Gibraltar when the war was declared over. Harry was a loving father of three children, Kerry L. Hart (Donna) of Jonesburg, MO, Susan L. Hart (Angie Roberds) of Columbia, MO and Dianna “DeeDee” Shelton (Jay Shelton) of Jefferson City, MO. In addition to the three children, he is survived by six grandchildren, Corey (Kayla) Hart, Kristin Hart (John Mitzak), Kate Shelton, J. Ross Shelton, Lucas Hart Roberds and Benjamin Hart Roberds. He is also survived by a brother John (Carol) Hart of Princeton, MO and many dear nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers Vernon Hart and Melvin “Pete” Hart and step-father John G. Fitzwater.
