Obituary
Eland Williams, Jr. passed away on November 4, 2015 at the age of 91. He was the beloved husband of Sarah Williams nee Smith of Wentzville, Missouri; He is survived by his two sons, George Williams of Kansas City, MO, Eland (Rochelle) Williams,III of Wentzville, MO; He was the loving grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of twenty one. He is preceded in death by his father, Eland Williams, Sr., mother, Ida C. Williams nee Bullocks, daughter, Marsha Smith, brother, Ernest Williams, brother, Charles Williams, sister, Aury Simmons, and grandson, Dominic Williams. Eland was a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Wentzville where he served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He was married December 2nd, 1943 in Kirkwood, Missouri. He proudly served in the US Army and received five bronze stars. Eland was a member of Jack Ming American Legion Post 269 in Kirkwood, and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Kansas City. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
