Obituary
Eunice Virginia McEldoon nee Scarr passed away on October 4, 2015 at the age of 88. She was the beloved wife of the late Lyell McEldoon of St. Louis County, Missouri; She is survived by daughter Lana (Paul) Kruse, son Dr. Wesley (Brian) McEldoon, daughter Susan (Nick) McEldoon and son Joel (Joan) McEldoon; She was the grandmother of seven granddaughters, Andrea Blunt, Jennifer Weygant, Jessica Kruse, Elizabeth Smeloff, Katherine McEldoon, Allison Smith, Amy Ditmars; two grandsons, Nick Smeloff, Jr., Chad Kruse; six great-granddaughters, Morgan Weygant, Ashley Blunt, Kaylin Ditmars, Nora Ditmars, Lucy Ditmars, Cailey Blackmer; seven great-grandsons, Michael Blunt, Nathan Blunt, Dylan Weygant, Collin Blackmer, Tyler Ditmars, Ben Ditmars, Payton Kruse; great-great grandaughter, Keira Weygant; great-great-grandson, Jayden Johnson; She is preceded in death by her father, Oscar Scarr, mother, Emma Scarr nee Lindgren, brother, Raymond Scarr, brother, Warren Scarr, brother, Norman Scarr, sister, Bernice Wilder, sister, Marian Muir, sister, Helen McWaters. Eunice studied nursing in Minnepolis, Minnesota. She was an OB Nursing Supervisor and instructor at the School of Nursing located at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis County from 1964 until her retirement in 1989. She received a Masters degree in Nursing from Webster University in the 1980's. She lived in Lake St. Louis from 1995 to 2014. She was active in Choral Arts Singers. She sang with them at Carnegie Hall, in Austria where Sound of Music was filmed, in Hawaii, and at Kennedy Center in Washington DC. She was a member of LSL Garden Club, Jardin du Lac. She served on boards and was a member of Wentzville United Methodist Church. She was active in the Bridge Club. She greatly enjoyed traveling and visited every state in the US, many countries including Australia, Israel, Norway, most of Europe and even Canada. Her last address had been Twin Oaks/Heritage Pointe, Wentzville. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
