Obituary
Leander Vehige passed away on September 3, 2015 at the age of 78. He was the beloved husband of Alice Vehige nee Prinster of O Fallon, Missouri; He is survived by his three daughters, Cheryl (Todd) Pickering of St. Paul, MO, Barbara (Bob) Bray of O'Fallon, MO, Judy (Chris) Thornburg of O'Fallon, MO; five brothers, Lemoine (Rita) Vehige of St. Charles, MO, Charlie (Mary Ann) Vehige of Foristell, MO, Paul Vehige of WA, Henry (Barbara) Vehige of FL, John (Pam) Vehige of Independence, KY; two sisters, Rosalie (Ken) Kothe of Wentzville, MO, Diane (Rick) Sitzer of Lake Mary, FL; sister-in-law, Ann Vehige of O'Fallon, MO; five granddaughters, Robyn Rosemann, Danyaile Bray, Danielle Bray, Kayla Thornburg, Ashley Thornburg; seven grandsons, Kevin Rosemann, Kyle Huber, Tyler Pickering, Benjamin Bray, Bret Sweeten, Dustin Thornburg, Christopher Thornburg; great-grandson, Austin Rosemann; great-granddaughter, Maci Bray; He is preceded in death by his father, Leander Joseph Vehige, Sr., mother, Loretta Vehige nee Pagel, brother, Daniel Vehige. Leander was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. He was married in Assumption Church on October 24, 1959. He enjoyed farming and was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #16415. Leander was a retired machinist from MEMC in May, 1996. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
