Obituary
Opal Lucille Widner nee Mikesell passed away on July 28, 2015 at the age of 99. She is survived by her eight daughters: Mary Ann Williams of Cartwright, OK, Dorothy L. Yarbro of Linn, MO, Ruth Brinkley of Lake Saint Louis, MO, Judy Atkisson of Linn, MO, Linda (Wayne) Bufford of Linn, MO, Kitty (Ralph) Rude of Holden, MO, Dee Dee Head of Grandview, MO and Sheila (Mark) Kindrick of Blue Springs, MO; She was preceded in death by her husband, John Widner; parents: Albert L. Mikesell & Mable Mikesell nee Smith, sons: William & James Widner; infant son, Johnny Widner; two brothers and two sisters. Opal was a member of New Melle Baptist Church. She made dolls for the Baptist Children's Home and was widely known as the "Doll Lady". She enjoyed sewing, playing cards and was a devoted mother. There are five generations with of a total of 168 descendants. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
