Dorothy Elizabeth Hoeft nee Witthaus passed away on February 22, 2015 at the age of 86. She is survived by her three sons: Curtis, Tom and John Hoeft of Wright City, MO; two daughters: Sharon (Dean) Martin of Wright City, MO & Sandy (Bob) Jung of Moscow Mills, MO; two brothers: Lester (Serena) Witthaus of Marthasville, MO & Wilbert (Dorothy) Witthaus of Washington, MO; sister, Ruth Haddox of Bellevue, NE; two sisters-in-law: Imogene Witthaus of Warrenton, MO & Joan Witthaus of Ballwin, MO; six grandchildren: Ronda (Mike) Covington, Lacy Hoeft, Alexandra Salsman, Mike (Sarah) Salsman, Hailey Salsman & Mattie Jung; three great-grandchildren: Lilly & Rosie Starkey and Ashlynn Covington; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard F. Hoeft; parents: Chris E. & Elda C. Witthaus nee Krueger; son, Bruce Hoeft, brothers: Wesley & Albert Witthaus, sister, Pearl Wood, grandson, Curtis Anthony Carmichael. Dorothy was a member of the American Legion Auxillary Post 122, and the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Wright City. She also loved quilting, gardening, Cardinal Baseball, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
