William Eugene Fischer, 92, Truxton, MO passed away Monday, January 12th at Boone Center Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born September 3, 1922 at Jonesburg, MO the son of Mary Berniece Barley Fischer and Henry Earnest Fischer.
On September 4, 1942 he married Luella Schwartz and to this union two sons were born, Eugene Randolph and William Wayne who were his pride and joy.
Luella passed away on December 9th 1968 after a long battle with cancer. William took over and turned out to be a very good cook, and among the three, they managed to run the house and farm. William was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jonesburg, MO. William farmed all of his life and when his sons came along, they farmed with their father. He enjoyed hunting, especially coon hunting and always had coon hounds.
William is survived by his sons, William Wayne and his wife Mona and their children Christopher Wayne and his wife Jessica, and Luella Fischer Gregory and her husband Caleb Gregory, and Eugene Randolph and wife Kathy and their children; Lisa Norton and children Nicky Freeman, Melony Drew, and Heather Freeman and Diane McAmis and her husband Tim, and Randolph William Fischer and his friend Nicky Sellman and William great-grandson Easton Randolph Fischer.
Also is surviving is William's brother Harold and his wife Joyce and their children, Brad (William's God Son) and Cherlyn Davis and her husband Joe, and three great nieces Haley Cummings, Tammy Ridgley and Jennifer Witthouse. Also surviving are many other relatives and many friends.
William was preceded in death by his parents and wife Luella Fischer. William will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
