Obituary
Asleep in Jesus. Ramona P. Menscher nee Price passed away on December 15, 2014 at the age of 86 from heart failure. She is survived by her son, Brian A. Menscher of Wentzville, MO; daughter, Sheri L. Menscher of Lake Saint Louis, MO; brother, Milbert "Mel" Price of St. Charles, MO; sister-in-law, Melba Menscher Sears of Albuquerque, NM; She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur F. Menscher; parents: Louis M. & Halie Price nee Howell and brothers: George & Louis Price, Jr.. She was also a beloved aunt, great-aunt, great-great aunt and friend. Ramona was known as "Mrs. M", the secretary of Boonslick State School in St. Peters for 20 years. She also was instrumental in advocating for services for children with disabilities in St. Charles County in the 1960s and 1970s and helped campaign for the tax levy which funds the current Developmental Disabilities Resource Board. Ramona served as the Wentzville Welcome Wagon Lady in the 1960s and 1970s. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wentzville since her marriage in 1949 and was a member of the LWML. Through the years, Ramona was involved in many community organizations such as the Youth Fair, Wentzville Historical Society, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Churches Aid Council and she was involved in starting the current Mary-Martha Thrift Shop. She loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling, playing dominoes and shopping. Her lemon meringue pies were the highlight of Thanksgiving dinner. Ramona was a kind and generous lady who will be missed by all.
