Obituary
April 28, 1945 to September 16, 2014. Cheri was born in Perry, Iowa to Robert and Harriette Harris. At the age of four, she was later adopted by Oscar and Dorothy Lofgren. After high school, she attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis. In 1964, she married Dale R. Watson, Sr. After 35 years of marriage, they were divorced. On November 19, 2005, she was married to her beloved husband, Charles A. Notz, Jr. or Charley as she called him. They were married at Hope Church in Berkeley, MO. Currently, Cheri and Charley are members of Grace Bible Church in Warrenton, MO. In her lifetime, Cheri worked in home health care and nursing homes. She also had her own daycare business in her home. She loved children very much. When she met Charley, Cheri was a full-time volunteer at Child Evangelism Fellowship in Warrenton, MO. Cheri knitted many afghans while married to Charley and they enjoyed giving them to relatives, nursing homes and needy children. She loved yellow roses and flowers and had a garden. She was an active member of T.O.P.S. in Wright City, MO. She loved taking pictures of barns, farms and flowers and would have Charley process them. Cheri and Charley are members of Joni and Friends Foundation. They made teddy bears and wheel chair pads for the needy. Cheri and Charley spent years doing genealogy. They loved to travel by car and train. She is survived by her husband Charles, three sons, Dale Watson Jr. (Robin) and daughter Tabitha; William Lee Watson III (Jennifer); Daniel Watson (Haidee) and daughter Augusta. Augusta’s mother, Frances. She is also leaving Charles’ son Steven Notz (Laurie); Mark Notz (Monica); Philip Notz (Nancy); Tim Notz (Tina) and 17 grandchildren. She cherished being mother and grandma. Also surviving are two sisters, two half-sisters, one adopted brother, one half-brother, their spouses and children. Preceding her in death are both sets of parents, three sisters, her still born twin, two brothers and one half-brother. She was blessed by many loving relatives and friends. However, the love for Cheri’s Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was above all else. “The Lord is your keeper: the Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil: He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth and even forevermore.” Psalm 121:5-8 NKJV The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville, MO.
