Ralph Sidebottom passed away on September 15, 2014 at the age of 71. He was the beloved husband of Lillian Sidebottom nee Merryman of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri; He is survived by his son, Joseph Sidebottom of Mt. Airy, MD; two daughters, Denise Eileene (Joseph) Pickrell of Rockledge, FL, Deborah Garnette (Dave) Vasques of Wentzville, MO; brother, Ray (Mary Jo) Sidebottom of Severn, MD; sister, Janet Ann Pelton, of Colorado; four grandsons, David Minnick, Joseph Sidebottom, Joseph Shepherd, Michael Vasques; three granddaughters, Brittany Harris, Maegan Shepherd, Allison Shepherd; two great-granddaughters, Makenzie Minnick, Josephine Harris; great-grandson, Kaiden Minnick; He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Clifford Sidebottom, and mother, Frances Sidebottom. Mr. Sidebottom was the Mayor of Lake St. Louis since April 2013 and was Mayor pro-tem for the last two years. He served on the board of Alderman for seven years and the VFW Advisory Committee. Ralph retired from the GMP in 2005 as International Vice-President. His recreational activities included being an avid shooter, master scuba diver, a gold medalist in downhill skiing, an amateur photographer and a woodworker. He was involved with the Cookout Club, Pontooners Club and Ambassadors Club. Ralph and Lillian were married on April 10, 1982 in Laurel, Maryland. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
