Obituary
Edgar Elder McDowell IV passed away on July 30, 2014 at the age of 37. He is survived by his mother, Christine Brown-Grose; daughter, Jade Caroline Talton and step-father, Richard Grose. He is preceded in death by his father, Edgar Elder McDowell III, grandparents: Ed & Penny McDowell and Frank & Lani Brown. Ed was an extraordinarily amazing and gifted person. He was intelligent, creative, charitable and giving; an asset to both community and family. He was a long time resident of Nevada. He graduated from Basic High School, Henderson, NV and having maintained many of those friendships he both facilitated and coordinated the graduateís 10th year reunion. Ed received a Bachelorís degree from ITT and completed his Masterís Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Phoenix in 2009. He worked for several years in the entertainment concierge industry of Las Vegas NV and enriched both his life and lives of many others with premier arts and entertainment. He enjoyed music & the arts and was an amazing, accomplished multi-media artist and author himself. His works were often motivated by gifts from other artists and friends as well inspirational gifts that he shared with others. Ed had an adventurous spirit having recently returned from a 3 month long solo-trek; visiting youth hostels and backpacking the European countryside. Ed was a part the Zombie Squad community since he first chartered the Las Vegas chapter. Not only did he help make that chapterís first year a tremendous success, he continued to volunteer in the local St Louis Chapter and contributed towards efforts in communities across the country. Everyone who worked with him enjoyed his company and appreciated the hard work he so willingly performed. He was the Operations Manager in the family owned business, RAM Driveway Sealing Inc., and was vital in its management, technical operations, and over-all success. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
