Jane Lorenz Monks of Wentzville, Missouri passed away on April 15, 2024 at the age of 65. She was born January 17, 1959 in Jefferson City, Missouri, daughter of John A. and Betty Ann (Croarkin) Lorenz. Jane was affectionately known by her family as a beautiful, tender hearted, bag shuffling, desert giving, cheer spreader. She has been through so much in her life, but has persevered despite her many traumas and struggles, from the loss of her only son in 2017, to beating breast cancer, and defying all odds by beating her first stroke three years ago; when they thought she wouldn't ever live a normal life.
She did indeed live a normal life again. She lived on her own, worked as a cosmetologist who had a passion for cutting hair (her lifetime profession), drove, and continued to spread cheer; a testimate to her strength and will. Unfortunately, Jane suffered another stroke and was unable to recover. She is at peace and reunited with her son; one of the happiest places for her.
Jane is survived by her daughter-in-law, Wendy Weller; six siblings, Bonnie Wolfe, John W. Lorenz, Connie (Greg) Cope, Ronald (Judy) Lorenz, Annie Bird, and Teresa Miller; 3 grandchildren, C.J., Gabe, and Katie; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, John A. Lorenz, mother, Betty Ann (Croarkin) Lorenz, son, Kristopher Weller, brothers-in-law, Richard Wolfe and Joe Miller.
Rest in eternal peace, you beautiful woman. You will be missed by so many.
