George "Bill" Payne, Jr. Obituary

George "Bill" William Payne, Jr. of Wentzville, MO passed away on April 18, 2024 at the age of 92.  He was born May 16, 1931 in St. Louis, MO, son of George W. Payne, Sr. and Dorothy M. (Lodes) Payne.  He and Jeanette (Wilson) Payne were married in St. Louis, MO on October 1, 1955, celebrating 67 years of marriage before Jeanne's passing on September 11, 2023.  George served in the U.S. Army and was proud of his country.  He enjoyed socializing with everyone whether it was talking politics and sharing his views or general conversation.  In his spare time he liked to go hunting and fishing and spending time outdoors. George loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by all. 

He is survived by his three daughters, Lisa Payne-Naeger of Wentzville, MO, Diana (Scott) Wilton of Lake St. Louis, MO, Gail Payne of Lake St. Louis, MO; sister, Joyce (Glen) Thrasher of St. Charles, MO; 6 grandchildren, Mike (Emily), Nicolas, Daniel, Corinne, and Autumn;  He is preceded in death by his father, George William Payne, Sr., mother, Dorothy Marie (Lodes) Payne, wife, Jeanette "Jeanne" D. Payne, sisters, Gloria Ralston, Janet Higginbotham, and Doris Purvis.
